It is with great pleasure that I send my best wishes to the organisers of the Multicultural Eid Festival and Fair 2013.
Celebrating its 29th anniversary, MEFF has become one of the most anticipated community events among the rich diversity of annual cultural celebrations held in NSW.
Coming after the fasting month of Ramadan, the event is a wonderful opportunity for Muslim families and friends to come together to celebrate meeting their obligations of fasting and good deeds and acknowledges the achievement of promoting selflessness, spiritual growth and social responsibility.
MEFF, which attracts 30,000 visitors, is also a chance for the whole NSW community to learn more about their Muslim friends and neighbours and the positive contribution that the Muslim community adds to the community spirit of our culturally diverse State.
As you join with family and friends having fun at the fair I wish, on behalf of the NSW Government, everyone an enjoyable celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.
